I was in Gisborne last week visiting my Dad and eating navels from his tree. They probably need another few weeks to a month before they’re sweet enough for his tastes but I love their zesty freshness. Also $3.49 a kilo at Pak’n’Save and you won’t get many he says. Thanks for the ice cream recipe!

They were $2.69 a kg at Kilbirnie PnS (the poor growers), being able to pick them from the tree would be such luxury!
